Interesting, it appears he realized Z-People Talk to each other.

I will be informing the OWNER of the vehicle that someone is poking around this stuff when I see him at the Z Club Meeting this Evening.

I really would have been interested to see the claims being made, and what was in all those 'erased' threads.

I don't see any PM's in my box, so I guess finding out someone actually knows who OWNS the car was not something he wanted.

If he mentioned taking parts off this car, PLEASE PHONE ME: <EDITED OUT>

This car is/was stored 'remotely' from the owner, and if something/someone is horking parts off it, he needs to know.

Thank you all in advance.

Mike,

The original poster posted a pic of the VIN tag from HLS30-000051 stating that he had removed this from a car he "literally found siting in a field". The VIN was recognized by some of the members as that of a car believed to be sitting in a field of 240s where the curious Pantera hatch discussed in another thread was stored. The poster was asked if the owener of the cars in this field was aware that he was removing parts from these cars and he got upset that soneone had questioned his motives and character. A tthat point he insinuated that he had some sort of relationship with the owner of said location and that this was really not anyone's business but his own. At that point, he got an earful from a few and appears to want to disappear now. Can't say I blame him but the post was somewhat of a bait, the methods of aquisition somewhat suspect, and the reference to "retards" ended up offending some of our members. Thats what I remember. Anyone care to add to this?

That's all correct by my count. Don't think there was anything else.

Adam (Enigma), is accurate. My only modification (if your referring to my post as questioning whether or not the owner knew he was doing it) is that I only commented that I was surprised that the owner let him do it. Think about it for a second, if I owned that shell, and I thought it might be worth "something" because it had a vin tag saying it was #51. Wouldn't you be surprised if I let someone remove the tag?

On the other hand, the owner of the field isn't poor by any means. If he is tired of the entire Z thing, he may have given this guy the tag and sent the shell to the crusher. When I was last there (a year ago), he told me to grab what I wanted because any Z that didn't sell soon was going to be crushed. At that time he excluded #51 from the crush list.

So, I wasn't accusing him of anything, just surprised at the end result.

Now his comment about the "retard"... No further comment on that one, it stands on it's own.

Also, I am noticing that dhp123116 is currently viewing this thread, so he is enjoying the way he has stirred this pot.

The parties involved have apparently been operating separated by at least one stage of intermediaries. Direct contact phone numbers have been exchanged between current posessor of the vehicle, and the person whom holds the legal title on the vehicle. I have been informed by the title holder that contact will be initiated in the morning.
