Two reports we should dig up for this. One is the Wind Tunnel experiments on the S30 done a while back. The other was way back but involved exhaust system swaps on a stock motor dyno'd.. The test showed no improvement (until you beefed up the motor)...

3", are you sure? That would be 230KV at room temperature and sea level :)

I beg to differ that one. I run the Mallory Unilite coupled with the MSD 6AL and the Mallory Promaster Coil. The lightning scar on my arm, from 6" away proves that 65KV can shoot 6" easy. On a 65 degree day at less than 200 feet above see level.

Ask my wife what a grown man sounds like when he gets shocked like that. That's right, "A little girl"

I KNEW he was a 'wizzard'. LOL

My biggest one step improvement was not performance but paint. Anybody else wait 27 years for a paint job? However, that engine rebuild with a bigger cam and roundtops really gave it some extra giddy-up.

Never measured it with a ruler. I swear. ;)

Seriously. It jumps really far if you have the courage to hold a plug boot away from the plug with your bare hands. MUCH further than any stock Z system.

1976 Bumpers and shocks removed, front and rear. Installed 1972 bumpers. Air damn did not change.

So I was basically right, I was kinda taking a shot in the dark when I described the weight loss with losing the bumpers and shocks.
