Hi all! Name's Dan and I'm the proud owner of a 73 240. The previous owner purchased the car in Dixon, CA in 1974 and drove the snot out of it up until its hibernation in Redding in the late 90's.

Spring 2008 I purchased the car from him and brought it back to my house in Vacaville... which is less than 20 miles from the original dealership back in 1974. After a junkyard ZX tranny, a ZX distributor, and a tune up I had it running that summer and have since then continued the car's legacy as a "Lake Berryessa Runner"... something that this 240 used to do back in the 70's.

I have also changed out the rear end to a ZX 3.90, replaced all of the hydraulic parts, buried myself in electrical wiring, and got all of the door latches working. I put her down for the winter and look forward to doing suspension work.

Hi Dan ,Good to see the pics, nice car, with the trad 70s rims looks great. Twistie roads are made for Zs,and it looks like you have found some. I have a 72 240 owned for 10 years.Weekend cruiser for my wife and I, and club outings.Photos on Open Z Car Discussion, under Car Forums.

Brian.

No track, just a nice, windy road out of Vacaville or Fairfield to the Lake. A nice stretch of the road runs alongside the lake. I don't think it's as intense as the Dragon's Tail

I'm impressed you've heard of the Dragon's Tail and Deals Gap!
