I found this thread on hybridz and thought I would give the Kia Sportage door weatherstip a try.

I bought new. It works great! Looks close to stock. No door adjustment needed. Very nice.:)

Interesting! How much were they?

$100 for the pair shipped.

I did a water hose test and they are solid. No leaks. The windshield seal is another issue.:disappoin One step forward, many more steps to go.:)

Now there will be a rush on Kia Sportage weatherstripping, and the Kia corporate types will spend countless hours testing and trying to figure out why so many Sportages are having weather strip replacements, yet are not coming to the dealership... :)

They do look good! What year Sportage was that again? Part no. would be nice if you have it handy. My seals are good now, but down the road..

Years ago, the hot setup was to use Hyundai Excel weatherstrips. I found some in a JY and they fit and worked very well. The Sportage ones might be the same profile since it's the same company. The Excels are likely long gone from JYs by now, so this is great news.

Here's what I gathered from the other site's post:

93-2002 Kia Sportage

94-2001 Acura Integra

93 Volvo 850

96 Maxima (all four doors)

Just an easy consolidation of the cars that were mentioned.
