Here is the latest Buzz on the West Coast Nationals...

Source: Group Z Sports Car Club..

GroupZ scc Inc. Motorsport Auto WCN 2010:Wednesday, February 17, 2010 2:58 PM

Here is the latest information straight from MSA:

Saturday April 24th 2010,

9AM to 4PM at the store on Collins Ave. in Orange CA.

There will be a dyno (registration required) and a BBQ at around noon (RSVP recommended) . The annual garage sale will take place as well during the event.

It looks like, in lieu of a formal car show, previous winners are encouraged to bring out their cars for a display.

(As far as I'm concerned everyone should bring their car for an informal car show)

No permit approval this year for a closed street car show ;(

Official announcement will be posted/distributed by MSA on Thursday February 25 and dyno sign ups and BBQ RSVP's will be availble on MSA's website; http://zcarparts. com

beginning March 1st.

So, this is all the information available as an early approved heads up to those that frequent this site.

Even with a scaled back event, let's make this the best 15th Annual West Coast Nationals possible

End of Email.

Hey Everyone:

Here is the latest information straight from MSA:

One day Event Only.

Saturday April 24th 2010 9AM to 4PM at the store on Collins Ave. in Orange CA.

Here is what has been planned;

There will be a dyno (registration/payment required) and a BBQ at around noon (RSVP recommended so there will be enough to go around).

The annual garage sale will take place as well during the event.

It looks like, in lieu of a formal car show, previous winners are encouraged to bring out their cars for a display.

No permit approval this year for a car show :disappoin

No other activities, just those on Saturday at MSA.

Official announcement will be posted/distributed by MSA on Thursday February 25 and dyno sign ups and BBQ RSVP's will be availble on MSA's website; http://zcarparts.com

beginning March 1st.

It's OK. We'll take anything we can get at this point. But with the supplied info, I can't see half of the people will be making their very long trip to the MSA for a 1 day event.

There's no way I'd travel 2400 miles round trip for just 1 days worth. Hell, it takes 1.75 days to get there from Marysville, WA.

Dave

I understand completely.

Let's hope next year will be back to a more diverse events schedule as before.

Knowing MSA the one day event will still be great. Hey, any time you can get a bunch of Z folks together it's always a good time.

I have to say that I'm pretty bummed out. I've been wanting to bring my car to the show ever since I went to one a few years ago (I've been to three)."kenz240z" and I went to the first one in the park and were determined to get our cars there this year. We have been working on our cars to get them ready, but we are not going to drive all the way from Colorado for one day and not even be allowed to be in the "past winners to park at the store". It appears that this year is for locals only. We both hope that MSA will explain sometime what the deal is and why this year's show was basically cancelled. I will continue to support them as they have been very helpful to our Z community. Perhaps we all should e-mail our feelings of support AND our disappointment to them once they let us know what happened to the show this year.

Cheers all, Mike

Motorsport receives 20-30 calls a day about West Coast Nationals this year.

I would just wait and give them few more moment, as they are almost done with details, and they will annouce it any time soon. ;)

Guys, I had a meeting with Greg and Joseph a few weeks ago. They are planning to announce the plans for the event very soon. Their plan is to send out a flyer in the mail and then announce it here immediately following the flyer. Just thought you should know so we aren't making assumptions. So, be sure to watch your mailbox and check back here often.
