Motorsport Auto's 2010 West Coast Nationals

Recommended Posts

Guys, I had a meeting with Greg and Joseph a few weeks ago. They are planning to announce the plans for the event very soon. Their plan is to send out a flyer in the mail and then announce it here immediately following the flyer. Just thought you should know so we aren't making assumptions. So, be sure to watch your mailbox and check back here often.

Mike

Yea Mike, Thats pretty much what they just told me a few minutes ago when i went by to talk to them,

Should be an announcement by this weekend.

Flyer going out in the mail to everyone with specifics.

I was also told :

It will be a 1 day event at the Store.

Last Saturday in April - the 24th.

Informal car show.

BBQ

No autocross event do to SCCA already having every weekend in April

booked with events.

Yes there will be a Dyno setup.

Yes there will be the usual "garage" sale in the back.

Yes a big sale in the store as well.

Thats all I know at this time...pretty much the same thing we knew last week

but at least we know the official announcement and flyer is still on the way from motorsport.

I'm sure it'll be a blast!! But not worth the 2400 mile round trip this year.

Takes a day and a half to drive there, leaving Marysville on Wed. afternoon, show up in Anaheim on thursday evening.

BBQ, garage sale, dinner at the comedy/ribs place, car wash, nice sat. drive, sunday car show, leave Anaheim and take a 2 day trip up the coast, stay at a cozy, romantic, (gotta make her happy too) Ocean view hotel for the night, head home the next day.

all about 6-1/2 to 7 days of Vacation, driving, seeing old friends, making new ones and enjoying 7 days away from the kids. But a one day event ain't cutting it this year. Think I'll spend my $2K on the 260Z instead.

Dave

Yeah Dave, me too. There were several of us Zboyz from Colorado all set to go this year. Too far and too expensive for a one day "show". I emailed MSA about my concerns and asked them to share with us what happened to have no show in the park this year. I told them we all support them and were willing to pay more to be in the show, etc. They have not responded. Sadness on my part. Maybe next year, eh?

Cheers, Mike

Hey Bonzi, We would love to have you along. FYI, there is current planning for an event to blow the mind in July... "The First Iron Butt Challenge".... 9 mountain passes, 5 @ 11,000ft... one day 500 some miles. Interested? It's not too far from Kansas, eh?

Cheers, Mike

And another alternative for us in the NorthWest is the annual Maryhill drive on April 17 & 18th Scroll down to APRIL for all the info, including meeting place and times, full directions and driving schedule.......

Awesome tour, great sites, people and cars. We'd love to see more S30's than anything else this year.

Here's some pics from last years drive.... http://zccw.org/zforum/viewtopic.php?f=44&t=252

So, it looks like the big weekend will be for only one day this year (April 24th in front of the store)? I also heard that nothing was going at all. Does anyone have any solid info on what happened with the WCN for this year?

Thanks!
