What is this piece called?

Recommended Posts

Hello all.

I am trying to find the name of a specific piece i am missing. It is the part right under the glovebox. i can tell i'm missing something there because i see where the screws would theoretically go in should i have that completed panel.

once again its the part that would go under the glovegbox but above the passenger legs (of course).

Thanks

My 280Z had a bracket just under the glovebox, bolted to the door frame. You couldn't see it unless you crawled under, and it didn't seem to be doing anything. That dogleg part would cover it anyway.

BTW, they call those kick panels on eBay, but it looks more like a water ski to me... :)

Is there a picture of driver's side panel? Part of mine broke off and I'd like to fix it or make a new one.

Hi ,

I found what is probably what you're looking for, in the 76 FSM. It's called the 'Instrument Panel Under Cover' as described on page BF-28. I realize this is out of the 76 280z FSM, but I'm pretty sure this applies to your year model because my 78 had this piece, where my 75 doesn't. I've attached the jpg for your use.
