Zealous Posted March 10, 2010 Share #5 Posted March 10, 2010 Welcome, I like the Jag, always liked classic Jags Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/35003-long-time-browser-1st-post/#findComment-312061 Share on other sites
mlc240z Posted March 10, 2010 Share #6 Posted March 10, 2010 Sorry but the closest shop to you I've heard decent things about is Banzai Motorworks in Maryland. http://www.zzxdatsun.com/Also love the Jag. Anyone who liked the early 60's Jags seems to love the Z. Enough similarity of form to allow a connection.Welcome to the site, you've come to a very friendly, knowledgeable place. Kathy & Rick Posted March 11, 2010 Share #7 Posted March 11, 2010 Hi, Chas, and welcome from another low-VIN seeker.Referring to your XKE, of course; that must be well down there. A friendof ours has and is the original owner of #38 which I believe is a '62, might be a '61.All Z Best,....................................Kathy & Rick Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/35003-long-time-browser-1st-post/#findComment-312094 Share on other sites
CHAS280Z Posted March 11, 2010 Author Share #8 Posted March 11, 2010 Thanks all. Both cars have been in the family a long time, I received the Jag from a deceased relative. It has been sitting 20+ years and I tried for about that same length of time to buy it.I've owned "Fraulein" since early 90's, but it is/was the victim of to many other things going on and now has been sitting in garage for a LONG time awaiting a re-birth.Unfortunate for both, I realize I'm only good at either basic maintenance or tearing things apart.(***My first Z, "Diane," came with a name so I stuck with that tradition.)
