Hmmm.... haven't seen that one listed before, and it looks like a nice car and a thorough restoration. However, two things may detract from the value some. The ad says "320 miles on new engine", which sounds like it is not the original engine. Also, it is listed on zhome.com as originally being a green car. If it was a complete stripping of the entire car and repaint that may not affect the value too much, but I think it still would have been better to keep it the original color.

I noticed that also about the "320 miles on new engine", while on zhome it appeared to have the matching engine. It would certainly be something that needed clearing up, especially at that price.

If I remember correctly, HLS30-00094 was for sale here in Ontario a few years ago. I think I have the pictures saved somewhere. I believe the restoration was completed at that time, if I have the right car in mind.

No, I remember HLS30-00048. I very well may be mistaken, and can't find the pics or the ad for the car, but I did find the pic of the parts that came with the car before it was restored. Look familiar, from around mid 2006?

Yep, that was HLS30-00059, but it was definitely NOT restored (at least when it was being sold with those parts a few years ago).

That's the one I mistook. I lost a ton of pics & info that were on a previous computer. Was HLS30-00059 an Ontario car when those pics were taken? It's great that you (as well as others) are keeping a file on these early cars. The pics being included with the data is priceless. Thanks Mike.

I'm pretty sure it was still in or near Ontario when it was sold. Here is an old thread about the car when it was for sale http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28243.

It's great that you (as well as others) are keeping a file on these early cars. The pics being included with the data is priceless.

I have been saving all of the pictures of early cars that I came across over the last couple of years. I'm sure Carl Beck and others have a better collection of them than I do, but it does make for a good reference. Let me know if you want me to send you the pictures I have or any other documents you lost that I might have.

Wow! Early NOS rear quarters! Woohoo!

I don't recall ever seeing HLS30-00094 before. $28,000...interesting. I suppose if I ever advertised Her Majesty or Princess Ziesta I would say something like "new engine". Both cars had complete rebuilds. But $28k seems like a good deal and definitely worth looking at.

Keep that collection going, Mike. I sure don't have a complete record of early cars like I do of Vintage Zs or Z432s.
