Looks like HLS30-00094 is listed on ebay now. Starting price is $19k with no reserve, so $9k less than it was advertised for on Craigslist previously.

The period Oregon plate on the rear is great, but it's not original to the car, so it likely was not originally sold in Oregon. A blue plate that starts with "L" indicates a November registration. No way that car made it here and registered by the end of November, 1969. The second letter being an "H" seems to be a bit later to me also. Probably a '72 or perhaps '73 issue plate. Not a big deal - the blue plate on mine is a bit later than would be correct for the original, too.

I'd love to see it in person if I was going to be in the McMinnville-Newberg area.

I'd expect the wheels to include center caps at that price .

I wonder who bought it? Seems like a nice car, but I thought the seller should have disclosed in the ad that it was originally green. Also, this Q&A response made me wonder just how many of the unique early parts are still there:

Q: Beautiful car. Do you have any history/documentation on the car or any pictures prior to the work being undertaken? Clearly it was done to a high level. Did the body require extensive work? Any issues outstanding that require attention? Any additional performance enhancements? Any other non-stock mods beyond the polishing of the carbs/valve cover etc? I'm not a stickler for originality per se, but would want to know in advance if there were variations. Thanks a lot, dw May-30-10

A: The history of the car is it was a complete basket case,missing many parts. I bought a 71 rust-free tub and a wrecked 70. I needed seats,dash and a ton of parts I bought on Ebay. Over two years later and a ton of money it's done. I have a complete album of pictures taken during construction. Any specific questions you have, give me a call. Thanks

I would bet ANYTHING that this is not the original HLS30-00094 shell. I would guess that the VIN was swapped to the rust free '71 shell he mentioned. The door data plate has snapped rivet holes on the top (see pic). Also, his answers to the questions posed were vague at best. No pics of the firewall VIN, rear deck, engine number, etc. The air cleaner also shows the later stickers, I believe the '69s and very early '70s had NO stickers.

Very nice restoration however, it's a beautiful car. Just not convinced it is the real #94....
