Oiluj Posted July 26, 2010 Share #1 Posted July 26, 2010 Though she rode in it once before, this was the first time my wife rode in the Z since the interior was finished. Now it actually feels like a complete car inside. We took Highway 92 west to Highway 1, then headed up the Pacific Coast Highway north of Half Moon Bay. We stopped for very tasty lunch at a seafood place with a view of the ocean. The car ran great and garnered lots of second looks and a few "thumbs up" with smiles. (Former S30 owners I presume).I never pushed it as there was a little traffic in spots, but it sure was fun when I had some open road in front of me. It was very satisfying to feel my little Z hug the corners and climb the coastal hills with grace and plenty of power in reserve. My wife was grinning right along with me.All-in-all a great Sunday drive. sblake01 Posted July 26, 2010 Share #5 Posted July 26, 2010 That's such a great location. There has to be at least a half a dozen, maybe more seafood places int Half Moon Bay that have a view of the ocean especially up toward the airport. esmit208 Posted July 27, 2010 Share #8 Posted July 27, 2010 That is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY COOL OILUJ. My heart races just thinking of it. I hope the wife thinks all the work, time and expense was worth it. I'm taking mine up into Wyoming and Montana when it hits the road. I hear there is a really nice AND UNCROWDED highway that runs through the Rocky mountain chain up there. Me and my oldest Son. biddljj Posted July 27, 2010 Share #9 Posted July 27, 2010 I had the Intro version a similar ride in the 1972 240Z I've been "working on for the last 4 years. I spent the weekend swapping my eibach spring from the front to the back... Much better.... Fixed rear negitive camber and settled the front down.. Got some of the electrics to work..... I took the Z out on the road for the first time in 4 years. Out our dirt road, onto 72 blacktop... Nice twisties... Brakes work, new stainless brade lines, calipers, shoes.... Onto 119... Wound out 3rd.... Good oil presure, antifreeze warming up.... Damm the Defroster works too... Leaves and stuff shot out of the vents - guess they were hooked up.. Realized I was not sure the gas tank sender works... No gas in the garage... 119 had no traffic and fun turns faster than my truck.... Turned onto the other end of our dirt road and coasted for 4 miles... Most of the rattles were tools in the wheel well.. The driver's side chrome water channel moulding poped off and scared me good.... Arrived home driving the car... Took the attached picture...
