Potential owner in Illinois seeking advice

I have the opportunity to get a '77 280z that has had some recent restoration done. I'm really excited to take on this vehicle for restoration tinkering but would need to use it for daily driving also. I have a feeling the experience may spark a desire for additional datsun projects!

I'm wondering if there are any experienced restoration members of this forum in the Chicago burbs areas that I could seek advice from, and maybe assist in the consideration of the purchase.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm in the Palos Park area and have a shop near Midway Airport. Currently finishing up a cosmetic restoration of stock 260z which will probably wind up being on the market shortly . Finished up a LS1 260 last fall . Give a shout if you need anything. Click on the link for photos
