1984 nissan 300zx parts into 1973 datsun 240z

just wondering... if i can get some of your guys' opinion...

theres a guy selling me a 1984 nissan 300zx, body is in rough shape but everything else seems fine, the engine is a RB30ET and it has 138000 kms on it...

just wondering is it easy and worth it to swap everything out of that 300zx and put into my 73 240z...

has anyone ever done this engine swap? is it more difficult than it sounds? as well how hard would it be to take the hubs off this car, which is 5 bolt and swap it for my 4 bolt?

I believe you'd be looking down the gun barrel of a cobbled up mess, and one with no particular advantages. We bone out VG30 cars here all the time for next to nothing, 'cause that's all they are worth.

The hubs might be the only thing practical out of this whole deal and not more work than it's worth.

Useless as a donor vehicle, but it would make a good LeMons/ChumpCar candidate.

Like Bruce said, Z31s are not worth much. That engine looks like a normal VG30ET to me. It's NOT an RB.
