Can't get 1975 280z to idle

cozye, there aren't really any wear and tear parts on the throttle. The butterfly shaft runs through ball bearings. I just took it apart, cleaned it up, painted, lubricated, reassembled.

Hutch, just get a can of carb cleaner, and shoot it through the air bypass pathway (i.e. where the idle adjustment screw inserts). Also remove the adjustment screw and spray down the hole. After you clean out those passages, replace the screw, and don't screw it in very far. See if you get a high enough idle with the passage wide open. If not, then there's something else wrong.

Hey wanted to follow up. Got the car running correctly yesterday. Bought a new air regulator. Same issue. Runs fine on a cold start but once it gets warmed up it just popped and spit.

I thought OK time for the mechanic. I purchase a PVC hose to replace the one that was really soft. Pulled off the old one and it was full of crud. Cleaned out what I could on the engine side and made sure the check valve was working on the manifold side. Put it back together and hello runs like a top. Now to fix the turn signals.
