Hello. I'm new to the forums and I finally got around to taking some pictures of my 240z. Can't say I'm too knowledgeable about cars. For now. My dad says he aint working on my cars unless I learn to work on them myself.

Anyways, here's a quick back story. I remember waaay back in 1996, it was all a blur when I was so young. But at some point a bronze colored 240z popped it's way into my life, even as a little 6 year old I was absolutely smitten. I loved the way it sounded, I loved the way it drived, I loved driving over the bridge to my kindergarten class and then coming home in the z.

Short story short, we moved from Stockton to North Cali and the z got sold for 500 as travel money. I seen it once a few years later. But I was always determined to get another one.

It took me and my dad about 2 years of searching since I was 16, but it was worth it.

For the few details that I do know. The cars been sitting since 97. I have documents that show it was owned by the original owner up until 94, not sure what happened to it between 94 and 97 and then it sat up until last year when we bought it. Everything to my knowledge seems pretty original, my dad's a body man and was amazed that there hasn't been any bodywork done on the car. Oh, it didn't come with carpet. Someone tore it out and put some..fuzzy stuff where the carpet went while it was garaged from 97-2009 I guess it helped prevent rust, my dad says the car is pretty much rust free.

The car was bought sight unseen, so it was honestly a pure shocker that it's so nice. I can't wait to work on it, but my 79' chevy stepside is first. Aghhh!!

If anyone has any technical questions, feel free to ask. I'll talk to my dad and get back to you, or answer what I know. I hope anyone that looks enjoys the pictures!

Have a great night.

Ah, you know I thought it was more central Cali? I moved to Magalia, up in the foothills. Snow and all. I'm in the Chico area now though.

I had the VIN on a note in my pocket.. but my pocket must have a hole. The last 5 digits were somewhere between 11000 and 13000 though, I'll grab it the next chance I get. Sorry!

Edit:

I just remembered the paperwork was in my dad's toolbox so I grabbed it and the VIN is HLS30-12823.

Nice score, i like that color combo, can you post a photo of the dash, it doesen't look all that cracked up.

Upholstery kits is avalible from CDM or other vendors.

Put your location in your profile and your vin# in your signature.

Welcome to the site Tiffanie! Nice to see some teenagers have good taste in cars, unlike my niece who likes the Nissan Cube.:stupid:I like that shade of yellow (919 I believe).

That's better she likes the cube than the Smart car.

The main reason my Mom likes the Audi is the eyelash lights:rolleyes:

By the way this is a nice car, might be missing some little things, but the important parts to make a great car are their. I like the rims those are not very common and they are sought after, I hope you keep them.

What are your plans for the car?? I hope you will keep us informed.
