I just received my order of Door window frame weatherstrip (outer) for my 1978 280Z from MSA. The parts that I got look different than what came off the window frame. Since none of the numbers that MSA has on their part bags match the part numbers on the order form, I'm not sure this is the right part even if it is roughly the same width and length. Also, I'm supposed to have a left and right side according to the order sheet but the numbers and the parts of both are the same. Can anyone tell me if these are the proper aftermarket replacements? Here is a pic of the old vs the new.

Thanks alot

Dan

Picture #1 goes on top of the door frame in the groove, #2 goes on the bottom of the door, held on with 4 (5?) push in plastic pins. Both are the correct after market part for the application from what I've seen. Both are side to side interchangable. Just turn them around.

Two carpenters are talking. One brings up a hand full of nails. "Half of these have the heads on the wrong ends!", complains one. The other looks at him, as if he's an idiot, and says, "you idiot, those are for the other side of the house!!" :)

I cross referenced the part # on MSA's website and found out that I was sent 2 right-hand top of window frame weatherstrips. I wasn't very clear with my description. Pic 1 and pic 2 are the same piece bent double. Pic 1 is the new and pic 2 is the old. I took pic 2 off of the top of my window frame. It does look like the bottom weatherstrip though. I already have that one. If you notice, however, the new one is shaped like a triangle and the old one is a little more square like.
