hi guys,name is giovanni from italy and i'm a member of all 300zx club in italy... in 2000 i bought a z32 2 seater manual with vg30dett...with years i made some cool stuff,such profec e01,fmic, 2 filters apexi with 2 maf,apexi neo,koyo rad,stillen oil rad,exhaust system and go on, all necessary without took away plenum or turbos! this was my car

i wrote was,cause i've sold ite some days ago after 10years and some days after rebuild as in photos,cause turbos left me and due to problem with air fuel...the last photo was this:

on the plate read "ho vinto", it means "i won"

so,guys,,,first of all sorry if i annoy you with this photo, and then thanks to receive me...i'm inscribed here basically cause i'm looking for a 240z! i don't know so much of this supercar,but slowly, in one month i started to love it! and now...i want!!! i was looking in america,cause here in europe or i don't know how search or simply i dont' find it even if i read a member saying in finland are many!! so....start the chase!!

Welcome to the forum Giovanni!

Good luck with your hunt of a 240Z here in the states. There are many fine examples for reasonable prices. Try and see if you can find members around the areas of the 240Z's you find as I am sure many of them would be more than happy to look at them for you. If you find any near the San Jose, California area message me and I would not mind going to look at them.

In the mean time, good luck! Try Craigslist.com or even this forum's classified area.

Hallo Goivanni and welcome, there are some Zeds in Europe, i believe Portugal would be a good place for you to look, i know of atleast two Italian Z owners, one is a Silvia owner posting on 311s.com, he have a 260Z IIRC, the other is one posting on the UK zclub.net, he is going under the name "datsunnyit"

Speaking about bad English, last year i was in Tuscany on vacation, thank God for body language, not many there speak English.

i read that here you're more conservatives and restorers!! in fact that swap is very questionable, but i want something with already some stuff cause in italy became more more easy register italian registry!! if i buy original and after i mod it, i'll have problems with police (other reason cause i sold 300).Other problem,but minus, is the ship in italy,but i'll not give up so thanks for your help.....before i'll know better the car,after i'll stress all members

hi you too chris..i don't know who you speak....the people i know are fixed only with 300 also if have also s14,s13 and so on...but only 300 in the vein ...

There are still plenty of us that love "resto-modded" Z's! Take myself for example

HybridZ.org would be a good place to look up some nice examples of modded Z's, however, I believe a member has to be a "Donating Member" to post a car for sale on their "For Sale" forums. Therefore, eBay and Craigslist would be good bets.

That Blue Z on eBay you linked us to is absolutely STUNNING. Great example of a V8 Z.

I moved away from that area 11 years ago, so I don't know anything about the car. However, the seller does not seem keen on selling out of the country.

seller don't replay me never more.... but...damn ,i asked waht exactly written about tecnical data in title (cause registering in italy) and he said read on internet the data!!!!!!

ps... i read more than one title (this one in texas, an other in oregon...)

why the weight are different? from2500--to 2700 libb.... exactly....how much is it for how much hp on stock l24?

In the US, the 73 240Z gained weight from the regulations that required heavier bumpers, but I'm not sure where you got your weight range from. Here is data collected from various US magazines over the years.

In my humble opinion, I wouldn't worry about horsepower ratings for the L24. They are about 40 years old now. Also, most of the ratings you will find are SAE gross horsepower. With that method, they did not have any accessories attached (water pump, alternator, smog pump, etc.). Eventually, the ratings came out to SAE net horsepower. That method has accessories attached. (Text added...) In addition, emission requirements were reducing horsepower. Emission requirements drove Nissan to increase the engine displacement, creating the 260Z, and add fuel injection and additional displacement for the 280Z all to get power back. (End of added text) A rolling dyno gives you rear wheel horsepower which accounts for drivetrain losses. Anyway, after about 40 years of wear, unknown maintenance habits, unknown modifications, etc., it is difficult to know how much horsepower an engine produces without the use of a dyno and a trained operator.
