mmagnus Posted December 2, 2002 Share #1 Posted December 2, 2002 Got a 1970 I am restoring. Put a fresh Rebello 250HP motor in. Now looking for good performing "street use" adjustable shocks. I am considering Koni and Tokico. Would like to take a consensis on what is the best. Tokico seems to be the most popular but price wise they are about the same on the adjustable shocks. Thanks for the feedback.Mark Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/3817-koni-or-tokico/ Share on other sites
Victor Laury Posted December 2, 2002 Share #2 Posted December 2, 2002 Mark,I have the Tokico non-adjustable HP's. Mixed with the MSA Springs, and bushes they are quite stiff, but streetable. I chose them because they were considerably less than the Luminias or the Konis. I'm very happy with the way the car handles.urethane bushes, MSA springs, Front and rear MSA sway bars and the Tokico struts keep the car pretty flat through the curves. Most of the AutoXers seem to use the Luminias though. Ed Posted December 2, 2002 Share #3 Posted December 2, 2002 I heard that unless you plan on racing the adjustable shocks are a waste of money. And that the Tokico are of better quality (performance wise) if your car is lowered. I have Tokico and am very happy. sjcurtis Posted December 3, 2002 Share #4 Posted December 3, 2002 I have a set of "Tokico Gold" non adjustable with King springs and sway bars. When I throw my car at the corner it stays thrown, I do not use my car on the track so I can not coment about adjustables. Tockico Green was the choice for racing years ago but I dont think they are available anywhere anymore.Happy HuntingSteve :classic: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/3817-koni-or-tokico/#findComment-20186 Share on other sites
