cygnusx1 Posted February 13, 2011 Share #62 Posted February 13, 2011 Carl, that's exactly what I was saying....for 8k you either get a driver that you can show at all the stop lights and gas statoins, or a pocket full of parts with value. Either way it was a decent buy. Where else can you get ALL the Z parts from a 240Z with only 10k miles on them? JohnnyO Posted February 13, 2011 Share #63 Posted February 13, 2011 (edited) Did they even issue salvage titles in 1972-73? EDIT: Should have read the entire thread. The rest was irrelavent at this point. Seems like a lot of work to buy a car, have it shipped to you, and part it out to only break even. It also seems contrary to what you said in your earlier post.I'm not saying that the salvaged Z isn't worth something, nor that no one should buy it. I just don't see how anyone would expect a salvaged 240Z to sell in the $7K-$10K range in todays or tomorrows market, when so many other clean Z's are available in that price range.Am I missing something here?-Mike Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/38250-my-10k-original-mile-240z-for-sale-discussion/?page=6#findComment-345773 Share on other sites
