another thing that it will help to stop is vapor lock , because the fuel is pumped from the tank and what isn't used is returned to the tank , and not left in the line to heat up and boil. That is why Datsun added the electric pump, mostly to stop vapor lock in the summer. The fuel rail passing over t he exhost manifould was wrapped with asbotoses to try and stop the heat. I have driven my 240 this past summer in 115 degree heat and had on problem even in traffic.
