Looking for Gas tank 280z 1978

Just got my 280z and looking for parts to get it on the road. I am 16 years old from Houston. Any ideas where i can find a gas tank for CHEAP?!!!!!!!!!!!

Me n my older brother work on this this every weekend but now all it needs is a new gas tank to get on the road. The original is completely rusted and will definitley not do. Good thing i checked before i started it up.

Any help would be much appreciated. Lookin forward to crusing with you guys soon enough. Thanks.

A cheap gas tank won't get you much further ahead than you are right now. Try contacting Roger at Zbarn. That's probably as low cost as you'll get on a gas tank, provided he has one available.

Just picked up one for my 78 for 30 bucks at the junk yard, totally clean on the inside, just need to weld up the hole the yard drilled in it. :laugh:

My point is I have had the same problem, but time and persistence has paid off, try the wrecking yards and bring a flash light.
