Arne Posted March 4, 2011 Share #2 Posted March 4, 2011 Not factory, so who knows? You'll need to trace the wires and find out. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/38782-what-is-this-thing/#findComment-348156 Share on other sites
tymarbry Posted March 4, 2011 Author Share #3 Posted March 4, 2011 hmmm that kind of makes me worry a bit. When I toggled it I head a mechanical noise behind my seat that would go for a bit then stop then if you switch it the other direction it reverses it. whatever it does...idk Ill have to give it a check tomorrow.thanks Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/38782-what-is-this-thing/#findComment-348157 Share on other sites
Zed Head Posted March 4, 2011 Share #4 Posted March 4, 2011 It might be rewired power for your antenna. When I got my car I didn't know what "that noise" from behind me was either. I think my toggle switch was factory though. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/38782-what-is-this-thing/#findComment-348158 Share on other sites

kjohnson2444 Posted March 4, 2011 Share #8 Posted March 4, 2011 Ejector Seat? Be careful. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/38782-what-is-this-thing/#findComment-348221 Share on other sites
tymarbry Posted March 4, 2011 Author Share #9 Posted March 4, 2011 If its the antenna switch, then its broke but I hear it doing something still and it has a point that it travels to and then stops for sure.If its an ejector seat, then its broke. Arne Posted March 4, 2011 Share #10 Posted March 4, 2011 The nylon spool is broken in the antenna. Very normal. The motor runs, but that's all. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/38782-what-is-this-thing/#findComment-348223 Share on other sites
esmit208 Posted March 5, 2011 Share #11 Posted March 5, 2011 Ejector Seat? Be careful.Maybe it activates the twin 50 caliber machine guns behind the headlights. Didn't 007 havethat feature on one of his rides? Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/38782-what-is-this-thing/#findComment-348284 Share on other sites
FastWoman Posted March 6, 2011 Share #12 Posted March 6, 2011 My antenna switch looks like that, but the lever moves left and right. It's a generic switch installed in an OEM insert. I presume the original switch fell apart.Does anyone have a pic of an original switch? Just curious what mine used to look like.
