tymarbry Posted March 22, 2011 Author Share #13 Posted March 22, 2011 Im good with soldering but I dont have any way or know how to heat shrink.I did though pick up some varoius injector plug clips from A Saab, VW Jetta, and a Volvo.Im just going to use what works and solder the crap out of it then buy a heat gun for heat shrinking. Darrel Posted March 22, 2011 Share #14 Posted March 22, 2011 parts store and harbor freight are just a couple of places that sell heat shrink tubing.slip on before connecting the wires, solder, then move the tubing over the area, then use a lighter or heat gun to shrink the tubing. TomoHawk Posted March 22, 2011 Share #15 Posted March 22, 2011 Radio shack sells a bag of short pieces of heat shrink tube you can use or practice, and you can borrow a blow dryer if you have to, but the butane lighter works, if you are careful not to burn things. Practice and experience are what makes the prettiest solder & shrink jobs. Clean the wire up well (no black corrosion) before soldering, ad use a low wattage (25W) instead of the soldering gun. Put the shrink tube over the wire before soldering, and don't let the shrink get hot (you'll find out ) Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/38938-injector-plug-clips/?page=2#findComment-350260 Share on other sites
