MoNkEy Posted December 15, 2002 Share #1 Posted December 15, 2002 Wow, well most of you think im crazy.. but its rare to see a Datsun around here, especially because its winter, although we have no snow.. (Oshkosh, Wisconsin)... I was walking through the living room, and I saw a blue flash go buy, so I ran to the door and looked down the street, and holy crap.. a blue 240z, turning the corner down the block.. So.. I wanted to follow it, but my sisters car was blocking my truck in the garage, so I took her car, and tryed to find where it went, well a block a way I found it, I turned, and he was coming towards me down the road, wow.. mint condition, blue.. awesome! I turned around, and tryed to see where he went. He was looking at a airplane at the airport, then I went to get my truck.. and he took off down the road.. and I never saw it agian.. but it sure did sound sweet.. I want one even more now.. ya, and thats the first one I've ever seen driving on public roads.. I've seen them racing before, and sitting, but never driving on roads.. soo.. yay.. Loud, proud and quick was this car.btw, i'm thinking of importing one from the US but i'll leave that as a last resort. Mr Camouflage Posted December 20, 2002 Share #4 Posted December 20, 2002 Us cars are lower spec than aussie cars. No rear sway bar, 4 speed gearbox. some have weird emmission stuff and impact absorbing bumpers. But if you could get a coupe of them stuffed into a shipping container it would probably be worth it. ScaryFast Posted December 21, 2002 Share #5 Posted December 21, 2002 There are plenty of decent Datsuns around here in Az, but it seems that I never come across any when I am in my 240z. I did pull behind a new 350z in the Sonic drive through in my z and got a few looks. 1GENZED Posted December 21, 2002 Share #6 Posted December 21, 2002 I LIVE IN TORONTO SO I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT. I HAVE THIS THEORY THAT NISSAN REPLACED ALL THE Z'S WITH ZX'S. I CAN GO FOR MONTH'S WITHOUT SEEING ANOTHER Z, BUT I SEE A ZX ALMOST EVERYDAY. WINTER DOESNT HELP EITHER Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/3923-i-saw-a-datsun-today/#findComment-21345 Share on other sites
zep Posted December 21, 2002 Share #7 Posted December 21, 2002 I think i'm gonna import from Japan, now. Should be a lot easier and much more to choose from.Any differences between them and what may have been imported to NZ?
