pjoe Posted April 28, 2011 Share #1 Posted April 28, 2011 Sprayed epoxy primer last weekend. Need to spray a little more this weekend cause I ran out. Then time for some filler and some more sanding. pjoe Posted April 28, 2011 Author Share #3 Posted April 28, 2011 Funny you are. I thought I was done with this color, but apparently not just yet. Dont worry, It will be dark gray soon enough. Ben's Z Posted April 28, 2011 Share #4 Posted April 28, 2011 If you have a spray gun with a fat enough tip to spray a high build polyester primer I would recommened a coat or two of that followed by a black guide coat then knock it down. If you don't have to sand enough to get in to the epoxy primer you should be pretty straight. Seal it and then shoot your base coat.Sprayed epoxy primer last weekend. pjoe Posted April 28, 2011 Author Share #5 Posted April 28, 2011 Once I get the filler sanded using guide coat I have some 2k urethane primer(gray) to go on top. Think I should be good. Then hopefully some base coat in next couple weeks. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/39400-back-yard-body-work/#findComment-354288 Share on other sites

pjoe Posted June 6, 2011 Author Share #10 Posted June 6, 2011 Got a little more done. Much more fun putting it back together than fixing rust. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/39400-back-yard-body-work/#findComment-357897 Share on other sites

pjoe Posted June 6, 2011 Author Share #12 Posted June 6, 2011 Thanks Guy. I closed the doors after I put the windows in and realized I didnt have door handles on outside yet. Had to climb through the hatch to open them up again. Looks like it will be 3 weeks till I put the engine together. Hopefully you'll be around then and I can put you to work.
