Ptero Posted May 1, 2011 Share #1 Posted May 1, 2011 Is there some sort of clip that needs to be removed before the window crank can be taken off? How does it come off? SteveJ Posted May 1, 2011 Share #2 Posted May 1, 2011 There is a little retaining clip. One of the common window crank tools will pop it off. Otherwise you could use a small pick hook to grab the loop end and pull it out. Once the clip is off, the handle pulls loose easily. tlorber Posted May 1, 2011 Share #3 Posted May 1, 2011 You can also try sliding a rag or towell between the handle and the panel. You just need to know which is the "open" side of the clip. Do that a couple times and you will pop it off. Reverend Posted May 2, 2011 Share #5 Posted May 2, 2011 By the way, i have 2 original window crancks but for some reason only the other one seems to stick in doors. No matter what spring i use (i got 4of'em) Also the crancks are identical..
