Is that measured flush? What HG are going to run?

Installed the .040 over ITM pistons. Torqued the main and connecting rod caps. Looking good. BTW Madkaw...the pistons are flush with deck.

It's not about keeping the pistons flush- it's about setting up proper head to piston clearance based on the head gasket used. Thru research I have read that the best set up is .022-.027 clearance , but that might be too tight for some comfort levels. It's all about ideal parameters to fight detonation.

I'm running about .027

Most stock Nissan L motors have a pistons above the block from .014- .019

Went to work on the Z Doctor P79 head today. I geometried all the wipe patterns for the Isky Stage III cam and valve springs. All rockers centered out with .160 lash pads except 2 which were .150's. I use an old egg carton to keep everything in order. Hope to start reassembly soon.
