Hello everyone. I am currently beginning a refurbishment of my 73 Z-car. Not being much of a mechanic I am having most of the technical stuff done by a professional shop. We are just beginning the rebuild an refreshment of the engine. Only 93500 miles at this time so hopefully this won't be quite as expensive as I fear.

Looking forward to hearing from anyone who has any advise.

While we are at it, how difficult will it be to take out the original dash and replace it with one that is not cracked, or should I try to have it filled and textured?

You won't find many uncracked replacement dashes. Expect to pay North of $2G if you do find a good one. If you want to pay that price, search this site for "dash in a box". I think Eddie Radatz still has one. It won't be completely correct for a 73, but it will be close.
