Steve and 5th, that's not bad at all! I generally bristle at these sorts of discussions, because by engaging in them, we're only telling thieves how to steal our cars. However, this is one solution a thief can know about and still not have a clue how to defeat, unless he knows exactly where the defeat device is hidden. Very nice! :)

I was going to post a new question about kill switches, but since the conversation has started...

Do I need a relay?  Can I just splice a metal toggle switch or rocker switch in the wire I wish to disable?   ( I know this would "work", but I would prefer to avoid any fire/electrical problems)

I was thinking about either the ignition wire, the fuel pump (electric) wire, or the starter solenoid wire.

Electronic relay that goes to solenoid for starter / fuel pump (i hear that some people bring their own fuel pump {seems like a pain in the butt}) relay is hooked up to a arduino micro controller which has a bluetooth fob on it, requires authentication from your phone bluetooth, or a bluetooth fob keychain.

Its been in the pipeline for like 3-4 years, my buddy wants one in his CRX and Miata. Maybe once i get this car sorted out ill be able work on it... (>.>)
