I am using the Hawk street pads (HPS). The race pads really should only be used on the track because they are designed to work in optimal heat ranges. Too cold or too hot and you lose braking effectiveness. They can also be very aggressive against the rotors

The HPS pads on my car survived my track day wonderfully and are great on the street. The bite is awesome and they've been dead quiet. I would assume they'll perform similarly with the 4x4 calipers

BRE-240Z thanks for feedback, Hawk seems to have a few flavors of the HP. What are yours. ie: Black, blue, plus ?

Just spirited back road ( When safe to do so. ) Marty. Just looking for the best bang for the buck for my setup.

I used Axxis Ultimates (Kevlar/ceramic) with my vneted 4x4 calipers. They worked fnatastic on the track. Never faded. They also worked fine on the street. Only issue was that the tended to dust up quite a bit.

Marty

Talked to a few people who are using Hawk HPS's and they are very happy with them. Have also talked to several people who just run stock Toyota pads that they got from the wreckers and they are doing gymkhana's with no problems. So, because everything else in my system is new, I went with the Hawk HPS pads. I will, in all likelihood, never buy pads for this car again. Thanks for the input guys.
