Z Race Products: No Response

I ordered some caliper brackets off these guys and paid via the internet. I asked first if they will work on my car and then sent another email asking if they had shipped yet, and if not when they will. I have not heard anything back. Are these guys flakes? Anyone ever ordered something from them? I realize side business' are just that and response times can be slow.

I know the guys some what, he was in the San Diego Z Club. Good guy, who is a little slow to respond and to get things out. Others have an opinion on this seller?

I know Jerry, he's not a flake just sometimes he has too many projects cooking at once and gets behind in commitments. If you don't hear back from him in a few days i will call him for you.

I bought a part from Jerry and he tweaked it a little to fit my needs. I got it quickly and paid less than I thought it was worth. Would buy from him again.

Based on other threads and my observations, he does not stock any parts at all. Including used. If he see's that someone is looking for a part, he will commit to the buyer without having the part in hand.

Sometimes it works, sometimes he can't secure the part after committing.

Maybe he has changed his business practices.

Before we go chatizing somebody who is in the business of providing parts for our cars, let's remember a few things....

It IS August... a time of year when many parents decide to do one more quick vacation with the kids before school starts.

It's also the time of year when last minute bar-b-ques are held, car shows, car cruise-in's, etc.

It's also the "lazy days" of summer, which for a LOT of people aren't the time to be sitting down at a desk immediately responding to queries from the internet.

So, while many businesses will respond automatically within 24 hours, this person may be not doing the automated canned response. The question also arises as to whether you actually mean more than 72 hours, or you did this transaction on Tuesday and you're counting Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday....

So, let's give him some time.
