siteunseen Posted September 6, 2011 Share #1 Posted September 6, 2011 (edited) With the plugs out and in high gear I could roll the car, which moves the cam, with one arm. Read that on here and it works great. Remote starter was $60 so I was going to buy 27mm socket, remove fan, borrow 1/2 pull bar and turn balancer bolt. I'm learning. Walter Moore Posted September 7, 2011 Share #5 Posted September 7, 2011 I have used the front pully to rotate the engine during that process. Hoewver this past weekend I used a remote starter, because it takes time to remove the plugs and I didn't want to give the engine any more "cool down" time that I had to. It seems to make a difference how "hot" the engine is when you adjust the "hot" valve lash. siteunseen Posted September 7, 2011 Author Share #6 Posted September 7, 2011 Nope. I'm in a fairly small, 30k people I think, town and the only place that had one was Ed's Foreign Car Parts for $59.99 but it was much larger with heavier wire 12ft I think. Anyway let me have this one, it's $0 dollars. No it's Commerce and we drive through Gainsville. I think? LeonV Posted September 7, 2011 Share #9 Posted September 7, 2011 I used the push method as well. Left the plugs in so I could feel the next compression stroke, worked great!
