Mikes Z car Posted October 21, 2011 Share #25 Posted October 21, 2011 The PO installed the seats I have. Anyone know what they are? They have great lumbar support and are cloth covered though i don't particularly consider that an advantage. They have good side support to keep you from sliding around in a race though I don't do any racing and would probably be happy with something with good lumbar support without the side support. In case it helps someone else to know how to mount them I am including a picture of the mounting adapter. There are two new holes in the original front seat support in the car for the seats, I will edit this later to add info about any new holes in the rear original seat supports on the floor. Powderkeg Posted October 22, 2011 Share #26 Posted October 22, 2011 Do you have photos of the Miata seats? Here ya go Gary! There's a tear at the top of the driver's seat that needs sewing but other than that they are in good shape. Picking these up tomorrow - he is driving them to me tonight - I guess he is needing the $$ pretty bad - he is driving 16 hours round trip - I offered to pay for shipping but............ Travel'n Man Posted October 25, 2011 Author Share #32 Posted October 25, 2011 Sliders mounted on seats - waiting for Wedge Engineering to custom make the brackets - now if I can get the snow and salt to hold off a couple of more weeks so I can get these mounted - I can hit the twisty's! Travel'n Man Posted October 25, 2011 Author Share #33 Posted October 25, 2011 Picked up a set of original Datsun Competition seats. Will post shortly when I get them mounted Glenn- I thought seriously about the competition seats - let me know how they sit. My son and I (he bought a Sport/Touring 370 last month) are taking a 4 hour road trip next spring to the Tail of the Dragon - ZDAYZ meet in May. Really needed a little more support than my stock seat (during my refresh had refoamed and reskinned). I have been wondering how the compe seats sit - I also thought about the Recaro Pole Position. Let us know. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/41048-show-me-your-seats/?page=3#findComment-370141 Share on other sites
