brentz Posted January 10, 2012 Author Share #25 Posted January 10, 2012 Tom,Rubber seals arrived this weekend thankfully. So new emblems and seals are now at the body shop, ready for installation after painting is finished. Looks like the painting should be finished up this week. My next little sub-project is what to do with the bumpers. They didn't look too bad before, but now, I am not so shure. Rainman Posted January 11, 2012 Share #26 Posted January 11, 2012 Good news about the new rubber and such Brent!Yep, that's how it starts.. a very noticeable 'not so sure' feeling. It's closely followed by a large outflow of cash from the savings account!! Be afraid... very afraid.I'm just being dramatic.. Mostly due to my lack of skill at planning for this refresh.. I'm getting near the end now (famous last words) and hope to have my 260Z off the rotisserie this weekend and back on it's suspension shortly there after.I'll keep you updated!! grantf Posted January 11, 2012 Share #28 Posted January 11, 2012 Some of the MSA seals are great and some are crap and some will not be there, But the windshield and hatch glass seals are pretty good, just take you're time intalling the SS trim it's sort of a pain at first. brentz Posted January 16, 2012 Author Share #33 Posted January 16, 2012 Here are a few more shots of the fender, hood and doors. Next step is to assemble car and put original "240z" stripe on the sides in the silver color used for the hood stripes. brentz Posted January 17, 2012 Author Share #35 Posted January 17, 2012 Thanks Cozye! My good friend who is doing the paint and body work has really done an outstanding job. As a result, I will be replacing some things that at first I hoped to get by without! Looking forward to driving it again. Its been much too long. brentz Posted January 22, 2012 Author Share #36 Posted January 22, 2012 Put the final "240Z" stripe inverted silver along the side of the car. Final clear coat. Time to start putting her back together! Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/41339-73-240-resto-started/?page=3#findComment-378383 Share on other sites
