hi guys i no a l28 will bolt in 2 my 240k but can i put a l24 head to the l28 block . im thinking it would increase compression id would also use flat top pistons .ive done this with an l18 on a l20b block witch made a fair difference . is there any reason this cant b done ?

Also some heads have different chamber sizes as well,

what head was on the engine, and what heads do you have

there's a casting on the front right hand side ( near where the fuel pump fits), may have N42, N47, E88, etc..

hay Nigel ive got the early 240k e30 head its off a 4 door 240k that i owned a few years back it had only done 50.000 ks from new so the head is in very good cond .so bigger valves and port it out should b ok .f54 l28 with flat top pistons and that e30 head should b a good thing
