Welcome casterguy !! I understand where you are coming from. I had a 73 240 back in the 70's and just bought a 74 260. I am trying to get it road ready now. I can't wait to drive it. Good luck with your search. There is a wealth of information on this site, and lots of folks willing to share it.

Why a 280 over a 240 or 60? I read almost every S30 post on this site, and it seems to me that the 280's EFI system is the source of alot more problems than the early carburated cars suffer from. Just wondering why you're thinking of a later car.

I can't really speak for the OP but, having owned both 240Zs and 280Zs as well as an 810 coupe, they they both have their +'s and -'s. From my personal experience, I think it takes more money to purchase and maintain the earlier cars. YMMV.
