SteveJ Posted February 7, 2012 Share #61 Posted February 7, 2012 Today I took advantage of our unseasonably warm weather and took the car out for a 45-minute drive! This car has not been driven in February for 20 years! Unfortunately, I discovered that the dash lights didn't want to work. Hmmm. Maybe I should start by installing that parking light upgrade harness that I bought last year, huh Dave? Be sure to check at the connector for your combo switch & at your fuse box for damage. Those are a couple of places in the circuit where meltdowns occur. mgood Posted February 16, 2012 Share #62 Posted February 16, 2012 Did some work on the headlight housing, cleaned, painted and plated the bolts. Broke one of the plastic adjuster and found new ones on internet and a local supplier here. I have 24 left from the box of 25, if any one need any let me know. Big sam Posted February 28, 2012 Share #64 Posted February 28, 2012 Today I carefully filed/lapped the oil filler neck, so that when it is screwed in,the word "oil" on the filler cap lines up with the words "nissan ohc" on the rocker cover.... kjohnson2444 Posted February 29, 2012 Share #65 Posted February 29, 2012 Today was an unusually beautiful day for February in Ohio, so I drove my 240z to work for the first time. It was fun to see it out in the parking lot instead of just on my computer screen. MotoManMike Posted February 29, 2012 Share #66 Posted February 29, 2012 (edited) Dropped about $1000 on my new Z to get it up to speed with my other one. New wheels/tires/ignition/ doesn't take long does it? Got my tires today, wheels should be here tomorrow, might have my ignition set before the weekend i hope. I did start my new addition and let her warm up to see how well she started after carb tuning this past weekend. Second key turn it fired right up did not touch the chokes or gas pedal a bit, Edited February 29, 2012 by MotoManMike spelling Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/41777-2012-what-did-you-do-towith-your-s30-today/?page=6#findComment-382481 Share on other sites
Taz0162 Posted February 29, 2012 Share #67 Posted February 29, 2012 Mild winter gave me a chance to swap out hoses for a new braided set. Also dropped a 1509 watt sub woofer into the spare tire well. Subwoofer case looks like a tire with a z center cap rim . Z Speed Posted February 29, 2012 Share #68 Posted February 29, 2012 Thought about digging the car out of the garage and begin to awaken the Z, but those thoughts quickly turned into honey-do's. After 20 years it's starting to look like I'll never have "MY" time or frankly, "ANY" time for the Z.... pjoe Posted March 2, 2012 Share #72 Posted March 2, 2012 Its house of kolor epoxy...the only color the paint store had. Once I add filler in some spots and reprime with urethane it will be phantom gray, which is basically gun metal gray(same color as engine bay is now). I hate this lime green. Reminds of 1st z project that didnt end to well.Brian Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/41777-2012-what-did-you-do-towith-your-s30-today/?page=6#findComment-382660 Share on other sites
