Competition Hood Vent for sale on Nashville CL

I have a cowl hood off a Datsun 240z for sale. Could use a good cleaning and some paint but a good hood.

Did they really cut out the rear structure of the hood when mounting the cowl like this guy did? I saw one at a car show some years back where the owner had the hood louvered so the cowl could be removed and the engine bay would still breath. I personally liked the cowl off look better.

I'd bet that they cost more than 100 bucks......

You're correct. I was referring to the fact that this part isn't a rare, hard to find part anymore.

No - see picture below: It wasn't really so much a "competition" hood vent - as it was a last ditch effort to get certain 73 240Z's to run with the emissions carb's. - when all other fuel system modifications failed to work to the customers satisfaction.

I see what you mean now, 5th. I hadn't clicked on the thumbnails until now, though the actual pictures aren't much better. That probably explains what appears to be hood pin holes in the corners. That hood is not worth $100 because it's basically scrap metal............
