Patcon Posted March 14, 2012 Share #1 Posted March 14, 2012 I recently purchased a factory 1971 Nissan Service manual. I was surprised that there was no section on rebuilding the automatic transmission. I have one 240z that is getting redone with the factory automatic transmission. I was trying to find the info on how to rebuild the tranny. Was there a supplemental service manual or possibly another vehicle that had the same tranny and would have the info for the rebuild work. Thanks, Charles Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/42624-rebuilding-an-auto-tranny/ Share on other sites

Patcon Posted March 16, 2012 Author Share #3 Posted March 16, 2012 The 71 supplemental didn't have anything in it. I didn't try any of the others because I don't have Zip utility.I hadn't remembered Xenon...Thanks, Charles Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/42624-rebuilding-an-auto-tranny/#findComment-384269 Share on other sites

Patcon Posted March 19, 2012 Author Share #7 Posted March 19, 2012 I downloaded a copy from Scribd and had to buy a 24 hr pass for $5 to get it. The manual is 63 pages and has all the same features discussed in the ebay link above. It would be interesting to know if the manual they are selling on ebay is a newer presentation of the information or just a copy of the factory manual sections.Charles Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/42624-rebuilding-an-auto-tranny/#findComment-384541 Share on other sites
SteveJ Posted March 19, 2012 Share #8 Posted March 19, 2012 The AT section in my 73 FSM is the same length as the one at the link you posted. It could have been downloaded from XenonS30 for free.
