I've been to the sport-import show in the past with other non-Z cars, but haven't gone for a few years now. I do remember walking around and finding the Datsun stuff and not being impressed with the small number of Z's that were there. Unless I was in the wrong area, there were less than ten Z's spread over all the different generations. Also, there didn't seem to be any intermingling of people. Everyone was keeping to themselves and not much talking even amongst themselves. Maybe everyone was just tired or something, but I didn't get a "warm fuzzy".

Do you guys enter cars, or just go as spectators? I've found from the past that it's much better to actually enter a car and drive in than go simply as a spectator. The cost is about the same, and you get a much better parking space.

Reminds me... Last time I was at the Sport-Import, it was about 50-50 between the stock-ish crowd and the ricer crowd.

I remember a lifetime supply of fart cans, NOS bottles, chrome, strut bars, neon undercarriages, and head throbbing subwoofers.

well they moved those mega-speaker cars to there own show! you may have a enjoyable weekend...

Yeah, that would be good. To each his own, and it's not that I don't like loud music from time to time, but all day long?

thump...

Where's thump... my thump... thump... aspirin??? :dead:

So what's the bottom line? This thread seems to have drawn very little interest... Is anyone from the forum actually going? Is anyone actually taking a Z? I like to get to one Carlisle event per year, but lately it's been the GM National. I'd like to see Z's, but are there going to even be any there?

Are any of the local clubs organizing a showing? I won't have a road legal S30, but I could bring my Z32.

I think the reason this thread isn't drawing much attention is the east coast thing. There simply aren't that many S30's around here. The Carliles events are known for American muscle, not so much for the import croud, but that is changing as time passes.
