woton121 Posted April 2, 2012 Share #1 Posted April 2, 2012 I read the write up on this and headed to the JY, I pulled a motor from a 91 Civic. But the mount and pigtail are diffrent than the one in the write up. Mine has four mounting bolts and a round wire conector. Anyone else been able to make this one work or is back to the JY for another one?Can send a picture if that would help??Thanks,W Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/42826-honda-wiper-swap/ Share on other sites
SteveJ Posted April 2, 2012 Share #2 Posted April 2, 2012 You could always bench test it. A mechanic I know was having issues doing the swap for a customer. The Honda wiper motor kept blowing a fuse. He gave me another wiper motor he had, and I created a setup with 2 lantern batteries and clip leads. I was able to replicate the running and the parking feature with that. It turned out he gave me the only Honda wiper motor that would work with the swap. Are the wire colors the same as in Dave's write-up? Travel'n Man Posted April 2, 2012 Share #4 Posted April 2, 2012 If it has 4 mounting screws it will not work - I just upgraded to the Honda wiper motor over the winter - gotta have a 3 screw mount.
