If I did, I would have had to leave my truck in San Antonio.

So, nope, I had to tow it back as well.

But Learned my lesson on this one. You bring everything but the kitchen sink but you never need it. The only thing I took out of the truck was a can of window cleaner. Thats it. Everything else I packed was just dead weight. I will drive my car next time, I promise you.

I'm like you. I have the trailer, packed with stuff.

Your experience reminds me that the harder you drive these little cars, the more likely you are to expose any weakness. Once those weaknesses are exposed and repaired, the less likely they are to break. Then, all you need is window cleaner, tires and brake pads.

An understanding brother would have volunteered to drive the truck and stare at the 240's posterior across I-10!

Truth be told, my brother lives in Louisiana, and he flew to San Antonio to meet me there. Which was not easy for him since he has an iffy back at times.

But we had a great time and I could not have done this without him!

Organizers sent out a DVD full of pics, found the ones with my Zed on it. It wraps up the thread nicely for future research...
