siteunseen Posted June 2, 2012 Share #1 Posted June 2, 2012 (edited) Welding shop wanted $40 per hour. I bought a siphon sandblast gun from sears.com for $16 and a bag of play sand from Lowes for $3.50 plus 2 hours of my time @$.50 per hour so less than $21 to do it myself. After pic is 1st then the before. I like it. Edited June 2, 2012 by siteunseen Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/43404-so-proud/ Share on other sites
Carl Beck Posted June 2, 2012 Share #2 Posted June 2, 2012 Looks great - just make sure you clean the inside of the valve cover out - very very completely. That sand gets stuck everywhere!! olzed Posted June 2, 2012 Share #3 Posted June 2, 2012 Good result. Carl is right about sand. I had my excavator blasted and painted. Should have left it---even though we were ultra careful, stuffed the engine.
