TomoHawk Posted December 30, 2012 Share #49 Posted December 30, 2012 I made a video of the Mid Ohio course with speed and time overlaid on the screen, but the average speed turned out to be about 5 MPH, so I deleted it. At least it took 12 minutes to go the 2 mile lap... At least it took 12 minutes to go the 2 mile lap...I could probably keep up with that!Does any one have any experience with QSTARZ BT-Q1000eX (10Hz) lap timer? Can it be integrated with the Go -Pro like TommoHawk describes above? 260DET Posted December 31, 2012 Author Share #51 Posted December 31, 2012 No, but I have just got a Oregon Scientific ATC9K with a G meter and the optional GPS module to do overlay videos, Racerender seems like it should work to do that, will be trying it out in the New Year. chris b Posted March 5, 2013 Share #55 Posted March 5, 2013 To get the speed and track I used Qstarz laptimer with the DashWare program. The only problem is that it is difficult to accurately synchronise with the Gopro video. TomoHawk Posted March 6, 2013 Share #56 Posted March 6, 2013 If you can look into the aLapRecorderHD application for android. It can record video with GPS or OBD data onscreen, and you can export the video. TomoHawk Posted March 20, 2013 Share #58 Posted March 20, 2013 That's a nice video. It's also good to see that you still have your original (style) mirror We should find a way to mount the camera somewhere about where the driver's helmet is, to get a more realistic view of the track or road. Problem with that is unpadded hardware anywhere near the driver is frowned upon by the scrutineers. In the middle is a good compramise, like mine in the sig panel below.
