Morning all , i am in the midst of installing my new 6-1 ceramic header that was delivered last week and I have everything off and now I want to clean the manifolds and fuel rail to look like factory . I could polish out with power tools and paste , although all I want is to clean them up and make to look new . Any suggestions are always appreciated .

thankz Chris

I use this product on the intake manifold and other aluminum parts on my engine bay. It works great with a wire brush and lots of water.

I use a product called Armour Etch, it's a glass etching cream that you can get at most hobby shops.

This stuff will take the shankiest aluminum and brighten it in less than a minute. An old tooth brush works well as an applicator and scrubber.

When it comes to cleaning aluminum, ask a trucker, their rigs are slathered with aluminum parts and they like em' clean. If you hit one of the big truck stops like a T/A you can find an abundance of cleaners for all finishes of aluminum parts from sand cast to high polished.
