Fuel Injection Harness Fusible Link Amp

Recommended Posts

The fifth one is in-line in the EFI harness, is green, and consensus seems to be 40 amps. They went to two fusible links in 1978, still in-line. The stock setup is to have the link(s) clipped on to the metal relay bracket by the battery.

Forgot to say that they are described in the Body Electrical chapter.

Thanks for the replies. I am going to be making a new harness (new pins for some plugs that I cant find), and want to get rid of those connections to the battery so that 1 spot for corrosion is removed. Going to ground to the body at the same point for the battery and have a fuse block from an old Mazda B2200 with 5 spots for fusible links to replace the old one. Already have the block on it and setup for the first 4 links with a heavier single battery cable (just cause its what I had on hand) replacing the old "double splice" since mine is a 76 model.
