psdenno Posted January 16, 2013 Share #2 Posted January 16, 2013 I spent over 20 years near Duluth and am guessing that Z didn't. If it did, the new paint is hiding a wealth of body rust repairs. However, the door panels still have their silver trim strips, upholstery and dash look good, and the ash tray is there. Sunroof and rear speakers are a bit lame. Are the green & red lights/switches on the console for the rear window defrost?Dennis Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/45435-anyone-near-duluth/#findComment-412138 Share on other sites
Chubbs Posted January 17, 2013 Share #3 Posted January 17, 2013 I live 20 min from Duluth and I actually met this guy last summer. The car is in really nice shape and I would have bought it from him in a heart beat if I could afford that price. It is nearly rust free as far as a general look over reveals. Also it was originally lime green, the wheel wells still are and there is no rust in them. The guy was very nice and seamed pretty honest as well. conedodger Posted January 17, 2013 Share #4 Posted January 17, 2013 I grew up in Minnesota and my Z spent about 15 years there. Every October it went in to a heated storage barn and every March, right after the State High School Basketball tournament it came out. That is pretty common among sports car people there. You will not find any rust on mine. Do your do-diligence but just because it's in Minnesota doesn't mean a thing... Chubbs Posted January 18, 2013 Share #6 Posted January 18, 2013 Idk I assumed it was original cause it was old paint. So maybe it wasn't originally lime, but the wheel wells are?? Nice Z either way though:) Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/topic/45435-anyone-near-duluth/#findComment-412363 Share on other sites
