bstrudg Posted February 2, 2013 Share #1 Posted February 2, 2013 I am trying to decide weather or not to replace all the brake lines and fuel lines. I see the kits on ebay that come with different lengths of lines. Would that be the way to go or making my own. I am looking for photos of how the lines run under the car. I see the rubber holders, I am missing some of the screws and brackets that hold them in. I would like to know what order the lines go in in the holders. Does any one have picture they can show me? By order you mean you would like to have a picture marked with which line is the gas feed line, the gas return line, the brake line etc.? Travel'n Man Posted February 3, 2013 Share #3 Posted February 3, 2013 (edited) Why do you want to replace your hard fuel/brake lines? Are you doing a complete restoration? I would without a doubt replace all rubber fuel/brake/cluch lines if they are original, dry and cracked. You will avoid problems down the road. Be sure to remove the spare tire and the rear plastic panel and get all of them. bstrudg Posted February 5, 2013 Author Share #4 Posted February 5, 2013 (edited) It's a 73 240z, I guess you could say I am restoring it. I bought it from a friend who was practically going to give it away. He took it apart and sent it out to have all the rust fixed. Then it sat in his garage for a few years and he never got back to finishing it. I am in the process of putting it back together. I have it hanging sideways under a car port. I started to fit the old lines back in. I see the mounts under the car and I have the rubber holders. I think they should go in a certain order. It just doesn't seem right to put the old ones back in. I am looking at the kits from ebay and I think that is the way to go.
