Datsuns in classic sprints next Sunday

Recommended Posts

Guys (esp Perth guys), the Classic quater mile sprints being held at the Sandalford winery in the Swan Valley this weekend will feature a few Zs amongst the assorted interesting cars. There will also be a "1972 Datsun Skyline GT-R". I will try to take a few pics and post them on the site. In the meantime, have a look at this: http://www.classicrally.com.au/classic_quarter_mile_sprint.htm

Cool, Take some photos of the skyline.

I saw a 260z 2+2 last week, Red with wildcats plates 327 or 327Z. I guess it had a 327 chev in it. I wonder if its the same 260 thats listed with the 5.3 litre in the over 4 liter class.

Cool, look forward to seeing the photos.

Good to see there is a Bolwell MK.7 in there. Mate of mine is restoring a Bolwell Nagari and I was very impressed with it, a very good looking car for it's time and locally made as well. In some aspects it is similar to our Datsuns, check it out...

The chassis of it is pretty interesting, looks like two big steel girders welded into a T shape.
