Hey everybody...My name is Tim,I introduced myself almost a year ago.I'm the guy that did some things a little backwards when I got my baby...but all worked out well! I'm the Southern Calif. guy that went back east to get my Z. After going over the ads here and also ebay,I found a 1972 Z in Fon du lac Wisconsin. After talking to the owner a couple of times, and going by the pics, pulled the plug and bought her.Long story short,it arrived, and turned out to be everything I was told it was...and really better! The engine is totally strong, and the 4 speed is a smooth as silk.It had one respray on it done in the original color,918 orange. The only problem I had was it was a very "busy" metal flake. So I had it torn down and resprayed a straight 918 paint job...much better IMHO.While torn down I replaced weatherstriping and rubber...new windshield...new outside door handles...new 3 row radiator with new braided hoses...thermostat housing...thermostat housing and sending unit... new magnaflow exhaust with a 15" glasspack in the middle...original dash looks like it came out of the factory yesterday...original interior except had the seats redone with new foam...new headliner.I changed the steering wheel only because of hanging drywall for 40 years, arthritis has set in and I needed a beefer grip. The front bumper came with the overrider bar on it,but the back didn't so I asked help from you guys.I heard from 3 or 4 people(which I thought was pretty cool).TLorber offered my one and being only 40 miles away,I jumped on it!Thanks Todd...I'm jealous of your shop too...rechromed both bumpers and put new rubber on them...bought new rims...American Racing Outlaw II's 14X7.I know I'm forgetting things...but I'm getting burned out pushing these keys...I took some pics at the local park yesterday,2-25...Hope I have the smarts to put some up here. Not to keep bringing it up,and this will be the last time(probably)...the only thing I am missing is that dual stack tail pipe...the one I sent WingZero 425.00 for...that was last June....Choke on it Zero....not that I hold grudges...anyways I hope you enjoy the pics!.... Tim

Great looking car Tim! Your hard work has paid off in spades. You have a car that must be very satisfying to own and drive given its condition and the work you have done. Interesting you had to travel to Wisconsin to get a good Z. I would figure being in CA there would be plenty of Z's to choose from. If you have some pics of the interior and engine we would love to see those too. Keep up the good work and most importantly, have fun!
